The counsellors on this site are qualified counsellors and work within the guidelines and code of ethics and practice as laid down by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. They all have access to supervision, both online and personal if required. The counsellors on this website aim to maintain confidentiality at all times with hard copy files, notes and emails. They state that all hard copy files or notes will not carry names or identifying details and that clients names are never divulged within the contract agreed between client and counsellor. However, we cannot be responsible for expert hackers getting into our system although it is very unlikely that that could happen. We will ensure that all message histories and email contacts are deleted immediately after close of counselling and that we will keep an up-to-date virus checker on all computers. Online contract agreements will be kept for one year for legal reasons but will be destroyed after that.
